Choosing a major is a big decision, and one you don’t need to make right away. Our core requirements are designed to provide you with the appropriate time to expand your perspective and either confirm your instincts or turn you in an entirely new academic direction.
In your first year, we encourage you to test the waters for the majors and potential careers that interest you most. Take advantage of your academic advisers, the Office of Academic Advising (OAA), the Office of Personal and Career Development (OPCD), the Major/Minor Fair and the perspectives of adults who have made a career of the majors you’re considering.
And don’t forget to enjoy the journey.
