Make A Difference

Pro Humanitate starts here.

The Office of Civic and Community Engagement (OCCE) connects Wake Forest students, faculty, and staff with opportunities to engage in meaningful service, civic leadership, and community-based initiatives. As the hub of community service on campus, we partner with initiatives on campus, in the community, and beyond to foster collaboration, address pressing social issues, and create meaningful social change.

Whether you’re volunteering with Campus Kitchen, raising money for the Brian Piccolo Cancer Research Fund, helping with education equity initiatives or participating in a day of service, there’s a way for every Deacon to make a difference.

What you need to know

Get involved

At Wake Forest, there are countless ways to get involved and create positive change. Whether you’re passionate about education equity, health & nutrition, voter engagement, or social justice, there’s a place for you. From one-time service projects to long-term commitments, every Deac has the opportunity to live out Pro Humanitate and make a difference—on campus and in the Winston-Salem community!

Make a difference

Through various campus traditions like Hit the Bricks or Wake ‘N Shake and other civic and community engagement initiatives, students have numerous opportunities to make a meaningful impact both on campus and in the wider community.
