During the summer, New Student Receptions will be held across the country so parents and students can meet other incoming students and families. At these receptions, you will also meet current Wake Forest students and staff and have an opportunity to ask questions of the experts. See the typical flow of a New Student Reception.
Receptions are typically held from early June through early August. You may attend the reception that is most convenient, whether it is in your hometown or elsewhere. Pre-registration is required in order to have an accurate count of attendees.
Note: we typically send invitation emails to students who live within a reasonable driving distance of the event. However, your family does not need to receive a formal invitation to register or attend! We send invitations to a small radius because we don’t want students or families to feel like attendance is required. We welcome your family to attend any reception!
Congratulations to the Class of 2020! We welcome you – and your parents and families – to our Wake Forest family.
Virtual New Student Reception – NEW July 15. If you couldn’t make it to a New Student Reception, we’ve gathered some of the same bits of advice we share at the NSRs. You can watch short videos about class registration, understanding academic requirements, and other advice. Enjoy the Virtual NSR here.
Please register for a reception using the links below – additional dates and locations may be added throughout the summer. NOTE: if a reception reaches its maximum capacity, registration will be closed. Dates and sites are subject to change.
