During the summer, New Student Receptions will be held across the country so parents and students can meet other incoming students and families. At these receptions, you will also meet current Wake Forest students and staff and have an opportunity to ask questions of the experts.
Receptions are typically held from early June through early August. You may attend the reception that is most convenient, whether it is in your hometown or elsewhere. Pre-registration is required in order to have an accurate count of attendees.
Note: we typically send invitation emails to students who live within a reasonable driving distance of the event. However, your family does not need to receive a formal invitation to register or attend! We send invitations to a small radius because we don’t want students or families to feel like attendance is required. We welcome your family to attend any reception! Dates and sites are subject to change, and registration may be closed at a reception if we reach maximum capacity.
Congratulations to the Class of 2019! We welcome you – and your parents and families – to our Wake Forest family.
Virtual New Student Reception (NEW July 8) – Can’t make it to a New Student Reception but want to hear some of the advice that is shared during those events? We have created a virtual New Student Reception for you! This site has short videos about class registration, understanding academic requirements, and roommate advice. There is a section of advice for new parents from current parents, and there is also advice for new students from current students.
