I am excited to write to you to extend a hearty welcome from the Office of Academic Advising. I and all the OAA staff look forward to being in touch with you over the summer and meeting you on August 23 for New Deac Week Orientation! To “meet us”, I invite you to visit our website.
This is the first of several emails I’ll be sending you this summer to provide updates and reminders that are important for new students. Remember to check your WFU email regularly for emails from our office and others. Please read each email carefully so you do not miss critical information!
The New Student Website (newstudents.wfu.edu) provides important information to prepare you for your transition to Wake Forest. Please note that some of the dates listed on the New Student Website are not applicable to transfer students. You can view relevant deadlines and forms on the OAA Transfer Student Information Page. You may also notice that the website refers to Forestry 101, which you will receive at orientation.
Many of you have connected via social media already. Be sure to follow @WFUOrientation on Twitter and visit https://guidebook.com/app/NewDeac17/ to download the WFU Orientation Programs app, where you will find the most up-to-date information, including schedules, maps, and much more. On a laptop/desktop computer or unsupported mobile device, visit https://guidebook.com/guide/93464/ to access the content in your web browser. Questions regarding Orientation can be directed to Orientation@nullwfu.edu.
In the coming weeks, one of our academic counselors will contact you directly to assist you with your Fall 2017 schedule. While you may be eager to discuss your schedule, please be patient as we work to contact all incoming transfer students. Questions regarding your incoming credit and fall schedule will be addressed in this conversation. For other questions or concerns, please contact the Office of Academic Advising (336.758.3320 or firstname.lastname@example.org).
Again, I am very excited to welcome you as our newest students!
