New Deac Week

Move-In Curb-side Assistance
Take a load off and unload your belongings at the curb. Wake Forest student athletes and others will be available from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Move-In Day to assist you.

University Stores
are comprised of four separate retail locations and operations. The Bookstore is located on Hearn Plaza on the first floor of Taylor House, while the Deacon Shop is on the first floor of Kitchin House and Hanes Mall. The textbook store, located beneath the Bookstore in Taylor House, offers new, used, rental and selected digital textbooks for students with an online ordering capability.

Move-In Day Sale Event
The University Bookstore will be offering a number of items for residence hall rooms on move-in day, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Look for the tent on Manchester Plaza, right across the street from first-year residence halls. Pick up those last-minute needs, including carpets, storage solutions, electronics, and other room furnishings.

Look for your Orientation brochure
It will contain a schedule of Orientation activities. Your copy will arrive in the mail in July.

Information on this site is for the class of 2020. Information for the class of 2021 will be available May 2017.

Getting excited about your arrival on campus? Your Wake Forest experience will start with New Deac Week on August 26. Our Orientation program is designed to help you with your transition into our Wake Forest family. You will become acquainted with campus, meet fellow classmates, faculty and staff, and learn more about the beloved community you will soon be calling home.

The four days prior to the start of classes will be full of exciting academic and social events. You will have the opportunity to bond with members of your residence hall, learn about our rich history and traditions, connect with your adviser, cheer on our men’s soccer team, meet President Hatch and Provost Kersh, attend Convocation to officially celebrate joining our family and spend time with new friends on the Quad. Several Orientation events will occur during the Fall 2016 semester as well, to help you acculturate to the Wake Forest community as you gain experiences in and out of the classroom.

Take advantage of all of the events, have fun and make the most of your time during New Deac Week.  It’s a great way to kick off an enriching and rewarding journey as a Demon Deacon. We hope you are as excited as we are, and we look forward to seeing you on campus in August.
